Does this team of writers have particular trouble making Cameron consistent?

House and Cuddy
I've had some people tell me that they like the idea of House and Cuddy and while I can see where you're coming from I have to still say NO WAY!!! Cuddy will stiffle House and who wants to see that. Cameron feeds his egotism and at the same time makes him realize that he has to answer to someone (usually her). I'd like to see less of her relationship with Chase and more with House and her.
By the by, I keep wondering where they are going with Foreman. I mean he can't leave the show then we have to embrace a new character and I'm not ready for that. But hey what's a girl to do.
The season seems to be wrapping up and I still haven't been that excited about any particular show. Let me know some of your favorites. I'm still loving that scruptious kiss between Cameron and House. For anyone that has to see it again or who missed it the first time check out YouTube. Till next time....
Does anyone else think that Cameron wanted House to catch her with Chase? I definately do. Last nights episode was good, the season is picking up now that we are on the home stretch. Sadly I think we might have to endure House wanting to hook up with Cuddy (oh the horror). I love Lisa Edelstein but I don't like Cuddy with House. Talk about bland. At least with Cameron we have some interesting interactions unlike the dry humor between House and Cuddy.
I did enjoy Chase's look of horror when Cameron so blantantly slammed him to Foreman. Duh, does he really not realize that she's using him. And his pining looks are making me gag. Chase needs to move on because honestly how many people want to see Chase and Cameron together? For those that disagree I'm happy to hear your side.
Sorry to those that have been looking for a new post. The third season of House has not been everything I had hoped for it to be. I thought we would finally get to see House hook up with Cameron and unfortunately we've been suffering through Cameron repeating the disasters hookup with Chase. Mid-way through the season I had given up on it ever picking up speed.
However, the most recent episode did give us a hint that House does still have the hots for Cameron and Cameron is most definately still has the hots for House. That kiss was steamy. I promise to give more insight now that there will actually be eight episodes in a row that might actually give the life back to the show.
For those that look forward to the end of the playoffs so we can have back our beloved hero, we only have one more week to suffer. House returns Halloween night with an all new episode and I'm sure interesting things will occur between him and Cameron. Until then, have a great Halloween.
Since I am surviving several more weeks of House being on hiatus I thought I would examine if Cameron is too nice. While we have already established that this woman needs to grow more of a backbone, can she do that while maintaining an aura that doesn't scream raving pain in the butt?
I think that Cameron can be a little unnerving with her ability to show too much emotion as a doctor. We want doctors to understand our pain, but I don't want one that looks like she's going to break down in tears along with me. I want them to fight, fight to cure me, fight to save me. She often seems to resign herself as being defeated while House pushes her to keep thinking. Step over that ethical boundary, Cameron and save your patient. They can find sympathy from the people that love them, they don't want you to focus on it.
I think we are seeing progress. Helping her patient die might be a bit of an extreme but at least she made a decision, that wasn't safe. I hope to see more of this from her but at the same time I don't want the writers to go overboard with it.
Such a sad day, I finally got to watch the House episode from last week and I was happy to see that the writers have finally remembered that Foreman is there. He was back with a vengeance and so was House. Cameron had very little screen time but hey we knew eventually they'd look at someone else to be the center of attention.
The episode was rather good although the worms were gross along with the idea of eating sand, but you can't help what you do as a kid. It was one of the more heartfelt shows, showing that House can still be gotten to and that he still likes to think of himself as desirable. Hate to admit, I was enjoying the banter with the teenie bopper. Hell, I'd want to date House, what can I say. I agree with Cameron, you do want for him to need you :)
The hiatus ends in November which seems a good bit away but I can't wait to see what happens when House gets arrested. The rest of the season should rock what with his jail stint, his unrequited love for Cameron (I hope) and Cameron's continued growth of a backbone. I'm all a tingle in anticipation. Guess we will have to survive by watching repeats on USA or pulling out the DVDs until it returns.
Hello all. I am running behind on viewing House this week. I have it Tivo'd at home and I haven't yet been able to sit down and watch. But as soon as I have I will give my further insight into the life of Cameron.
I'm not sure how Ill survive the month hiatus the show will take during the playoffs but I guess I will survive. Remember to send me your thoughts, questions or comments anytime and I promise to have this weeks review before you know it.
Cameron really impressed me last night. She grew a back-bone and I have to say, that I thought she did what was right. She made a decision and she stuck to it. I believe this episode showed us what direction she' s going to be taking this season. I also have to say that I think House showed his more human-side when he visited her in the chapel. Two thumbs up from me for both of them. Who else can help instill love with an "I'm proud of you."
On the other hand, I think she's also the only one in touch with the downward spiral that House is headed for. Obviously the pain is more intense this season, whether it is from his lack of meds or something else. Either way, I think the two of them might end up leaning on each other more, which I think is about time. I know, I know, we don't want a soap opera, but hey I think the man needs someone like Cameron (at least this version that has some moral fiber).
As we can see, House may embark on an inappropriate relationship with this teenie bopper, which I think may ruin my whole opinion of him. Especially since he even told her it would be wrong, hopefully the writers won't go there. Save him Cameron please.
Scooting over to Chase for a moment, I am more and more impressed with his character every week. Could it be that he's moving away from being a daddy's boy, to be an actual doctor. Again, we saw very little of Foreman. Is Omar Epps out sick? Where did his character go? Although, I'm enjoying the focus on Cameron and Chase, they are at least lovable.
To wrap it up, Cameron continues to improve and to the writers, keep it up.
Last nights episode of House was interesting but yet didn't give me an enthusiastic outlook for the season. I expected this season to be off and running and it seems that it might be a little less than exciting. Cutty and Wilson appear to be dragging their heels with all the lies they've been telling or is it simply that they don't know what to do about House.
Wilson showed his true colors last night, giving his friend Vicadin to get him to function. Wow what a good buddy and then trying to control everyone is simply not Wilson's thing. He's more of a sidekick and not a leader. Cuddy's guilt-ridden self is proving to be less then exemplar. She's so worried that the surgery screwed up that she's not focusing on what's important.
Cameron though continues to impress me. She's growing a backbone. The fact that the backbone only appears when she's trying to help House, would be something she needs to discuss with her therapist. But this attribute makes her a much more interesting character. When she feels she's willing to do anything, which we kind of knew already, but it's nice to see that someone cares about House (besides himself).
I also appreciated that Cameron was dressed this episode. She appeared a great deal more professional. Did anyone else notice that Forman wasn't a major player this episode. Chase was all over the place as was Cameron but Forman was just in the room. Interesting.
Back to Cameron....I hope to continue to see more improvements on Dr. Cameron. She's moving in the right direction, lets hope the writers continue to follow this trend. And finally, when are we going to see some lip action between Cameron and House?
For those that watched last nights Season Premiere, I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did. Although, it does seem that Wilson is a bigger pain in the butt than I remember. Could it be that the writers are showing us how House would really see him when he's not drugged up. But more to the point, let's examine Cameron and House.
As I predicted, Cameron showed that she's needy and can't be with anyone that's not ailing in some fashion. I was rather disappointed by this turn of events, I expected so much more from her and from House. I have a feeling that I am going to have to suffer through another season where the writers skirt around their relationship. Although, Cameron seems to have grown a backbone over the summer, discovering that sometimes you have to say no. Although, I loved the fact that Chase was more than willing to step in and get it done.
My next question, did the writers ask for Cameron's look to change or is this wardrobes fault? I mean she always looked professional, but last night we saw her in some capries with open-toed sandals. No doctor is going to wear that to the hospital. I mean please, put the woman in some attractive but reasonable shoes. Also, what's with the capries, who wants their doctor walking in looking like a model? I want her to be strong first and sexy in a realistic fashion, is that so much to ask?
Consistency people please. Give Cameron back her old wardrobe but let her keep her improved attitude. House will be attracted to her more when she's willing to yell back at him.
This evening marks the new season at least here in the States and we get to see Cameron after a season of reruns. The question is will we like this season's Cameron or will she continue to leave us disappointed.
There have been cyber discussion about House's attempts to woe Cameron now that he has full use of his leg, but word on the web also says that she rejects his attempts. Say it's not so. How can she deny him now that he's fully functional or does she know something that we don't. Could it be that Cameron sees the real House and she believes that his transformation is nothing but a facade?
For those that know the episodes but can't seem to remember the names, this is the episode where Cameron and Chase get their freak on. As I have said before, I am rewatching Season 2 and for Vanessa down in Sydney who is only been able to watch the first part of Euphoria, I just wanted you to know that there are several more episodes to go that are fascinating. Yet, back to the point, Hunting was a great episode. Not only did we get to see how obsessed House can be, we saw Cameron have a thorough meltdown. YAHOO!
Finally, the emotions are released and she's an absolute (inappropriate word) and doesn't apologize for it. This is absolutely the first time you see her tell it like it is and not end the statement with an "I'm sorry". Of course, finding out you could possibly contract AIDS from a patient won't put anyone in a happy mood. Especially when you find out that their happy lifestyle actually sucks. I was thrilled with this episode, finally the writers gave Cameron some life and let us see that maybe she's not as calm and cool as we would like to believe about things not pertaining to House. I can't wait to see what the writers throw at us next, what other demons hide in Cameron's closet and my big question, will we ever get to see her dead husband's best friend that she fell in love with while watching her husband die? Guess we will have to wait and see.
I received a Masters of Arts in Communication Management, as well as dual bachelors in Mass Communication-Journalism and Art History. I have loved Hugh Laurie since seeing him in Sense and Sensibility as the irritated husband of an annoying woman. So when I saw the preview for House on USA, I had to watch it and have been a fanatic ever since. I have also been a movie fanatic for years, beginning with one of my first jobs in a movie theater. My fascination grew and I am known by my friends as a resource for most movie trivia knowledge.
